Residential HVAC Service Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Residential HVAC Service Manager to lead our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) service team. In this vital role, you will oversee the daily operations of residential HVAC service activities, ensuring top-tier customer satisfaction through expert technical support, efficient scheduling, and team leadership. Your expertise in HVAC systems will drive the success of our service department. Duties

• Lead and coordinate the residential HVAC service team to ensure timely and quality service delivery for all customer requests.
• Oversee HVAC system repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Manage equipment troubleshooting using hand tools, ohmmeters, and diagnostic software to identify faults in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards such as EPA regulations for refrigerants.
• Maintain detailed records of service activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and maintenance logs.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about repairs, system options, and maintenance plans while fostering positive relationships.
• Coordinate scheduling with Dispatch team to ensure right tech right call approach
• Assist technicians with price objections and other issues to increase conversion
• Track and manage callbacks and reduce through training
• Conduct one-on-one meeting and perform ride alongs
• Speak to customers regarding concerns
• Provide ongoing training on both technical skills and customer relation skills

Requirements

• Proven construction experience with a strong background in HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance.
• Service technician experience with knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems.
• Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC system components such as air conditioning units, and mechanical systems repair.
• Ability to operate hand tools effectively and troubleshoot equipment issues using diagnostic devices like ohmmeters.
• Experience with HVAC design principles and equipment troubleshooting techniques.
• Knowledge of electrical systems diagnostics and repairs for HVAC applications.
• Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team of technicians efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
• Valid van driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to transport tools and equipment safely between job sites.
