What they need
Residential Remodeling Project Manager: Kitchen & Bath
We are a specialized residential remodeling company focused on helping people live safely and independently in their homes. We renovate and modify homes for people with medical conditions and disabilities, as well as those who want to safely age in place.
We are looking for an experienced Residential or Kitchen & Bath Remodeling Project Manager to take complete ownership of projects from client kickoff through construction completion. You won’t simply coordinate the project; you’ll be accountable for anticipating what needs to happen next and making sure it happens.
This is a hands-on project management role with a significant client-service component. You will be the person responsible for making sure everything comes together: clients feel exceptionally well cared for, trades know exactly what is expected, materials and decisions are ready when needed, workmanship meets our standards, problems are solved quickly, and projects remain on schedule.
What You Will Own
You will be introduced to the client at the project kickoff meeting and, from that point through construction completion, serve as their primary point of contact and the person responsible for successful execution of the project.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Developing, maintaining, and driving the project schedule
· Planning ahead for labor, materials, decisions and project dependencies
· Scheduling and coordinating employees, subcontractors, and vendors
· Clearly communicating scopes, schedules, and expectations to trades
· Regularly visiting and inspecting active projects
· Identifying problems early and taking ownership of their resolution
· Ensuring work conforms to plans, specifications and company standards
· Recognizing work that isn’t right and ensuring it is corrected
· Maintaining organized, clean, and professional job sites
· Providing clients with consistent, proactive communication
· Leading standing client/project meetings
· Preparing clients for upcoming work and potential disruptions
· Managing project documentation, reporting, and follow-up
· Completing thorough quality-control and punch-list processes
· Driving projects to completion on or ahead of schedule
· Turning completed projects back over to our medical and management team for client safety and use training
Our Clients Are Different
Our clients are often navigating medical conditions, disabilities, aging, or significant changes in how they live in their homes.
For that reason, how we make people feel is every bit as important as what we build.
Our clients should feel seen, heard, supported, and confident that someone capable is looking out for them. They should understand what is happening, what happens next, and who is responsible for getting it done.
We are looking for someone who can be kind and patient while also being confident, direct, and highly accountable.
What We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate has meaningful experience managing residential remodeling projects, particularly kitchens, bathrooms, or other occupied-home renovations.
You should understand how residential remodeling projects come together and how the different trades affect one another.
Many of our projects are full-gut bathroom renovations involving demolition, framing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, waterproofing, tile, cabinetry, carpentry, painting, and finish work.
You don’t need to personally perform these trades, but you need strong working knowledge of residential construction. Enough to understand proper sequencing, recognize excellent workmanship, identify problems, and confidently require corrections when something isn’t right.
You Will Thrive Here If You Are:
Organized. You can manage multiple projects, people, schedules, decisions, and details without things falling through the cracks.
Proactive. You naturally think several steps ahead. You don’t wait for tomorrow’s problem to arrive tomorrow.
An Exceptional Communicator. You communicate frequently, clearly, and professionally, with clients, coworkers, trades, and vendors.
Client-Focused. You genuinely care about the experience people have working with you and take pride in earning their trust and exceeding their expectations.
Resourceful. When construction presents an unexpected condition, your instinct is to understand it, develop a solution, and keep things moving.
Detail-Oriented. You notice what other people miss and understand that what is behind the wall matters just as much as what the client sees when the project is finished.
Accountable. You take ownership. When something goes wrong, your first instinct is to solve it, not explain why it isn’t your responsibility.
A Strong Leader. You can manage different personalities, establish clear expectations, hold people accountable, and create a positive “we are all in this together” jobsite culture.
Calm Under Pressure. Construction rarely goes exactly as planned. You stay composed when problems arise, communicate clearly, and focus the team and client on the path forward.
How We Define Success
Success in this position means:
· Clients who feel exceptionally seen, heard, supported, and satisfied
· Work completed correctly—the first time
· Excellent workmanship, including details clients will never see
· Projects completed on or ahead of schedule
· Problems identified early rather than after they become emergencies
· Minimal callbacks and unfinished details
· Professional, organized and respectful job sites
· Strong relationships with employees, subcontractors and vendors
· Consistent adherence to our processes and standards
We aren't simply looking for someone who can manage construction. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of the entire project, from the quality of the work to the experience of the client, and takes personal pride in delivering both exceptionally well.
