We’re opening a brand-new, two-bed children’s home near Spalding and we’re looking for great Residential Support Workers to join the team.

This is a small, focused home supporting a maximum of two young people, which means you’ll have the time to build genuine relationships, provide consistent support and be part of creating a home that feels safe, calm and welcoming.

No huge unit.

No endless corridors.

No feeling like just another name on the rota.

Just a small home, a close-knit team and the opportunity to make a real difference to two young people.

THE PACKAGE

£33,488 salary

40.25 hours per week

Day shifts

£2,000 joining bonus!

You’ll also receive ongoing training, support and opportunities to develop your career within children’s residential care.

ABOUT THE HOME

Our new Spalding service will be a small two-bed children’s residential home supporting young people with EBD, SEMH, trauma and complex needs.

Our approach is therapeutic, trauma-informed and relationship-based.

We focus on:

  • Positive Behaviour Support
  • PACE
  • Trauma-informed practice
  • Building safe and trusting relationships
  • Consistency and clear boundaries
  • Helping young people develop confidence and independence

Most importantly, we want the home to feel like exactly that: a home.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll be part of the young person’s everyday life.
  • That means helping with the ordinary things as well as the difficult ones.
  • Your role will include:
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
  • Supporting daily routines and structure
  • Helping with education, appointments and activities
  • Supporting young people to develop life skills and independence
  • Providing emotional support during difficult moments
  • Helping young people regulate their emotions
  • Promoting positive behaviour and healthy choices
  • Supporting safeguarding and following care plans
  • Completing clear and accurate records
  • Working closely with your colleagues and the Registered Manager
  • Helping create a safe, welcoming and homely environment
  • Some days will be challenging.
  • Some days will be brilliant.
  • But every day, you’ll have the opportunity to make a difference.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We’re looking for people with the right attitude.

You’ll need to be:

  • Caring and compassionate
  • Calm under pressure
  • Reliable and consistent
  • Confident setting appropriate boundaries
  • A good communicator
  • Resilient
  • Positive and energetic
  • Able to work well as part of a small team
  • Passionate about supporting young people
  • A full UK driving licence holder
  • Previous experience in children’s residential care is desirable, but attitude, values and the ability to build strong relationships are just as important.
  • A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare would be advantageous, although training and development can be provided for the right person.

WHY JOIN US?

Because this is your opportunity to join a brand-new home from the beginning and help shape the kind of environment we want to create.

✓ £33,488 salary ✓ £2,000 joining bonus ✓ 40.25-hour contract ✓ Day shifts ✓ Brand-new children’s home ✓ Maximum of only two young people ✓ Small, close-knit staff team ✓ Ongoing training and development ✓ Opportunities for career progression ✓ Supportive management team
