What they need
Good Foundations was established in 2004 and have 10 homes located in Wirral, Cheshire-West and Wigan. You will join a team of high-quality staff whose passion, experience and skill set in this field will support you in achieving positive outcomes with aspirational goals for our young people.
You should have a strong team ethos and be driven by a shared ambition within the wider organisation. Your goals should be to ensure that the children and young people in your care have an experience of childhood that they deserve, filled with fun, laughter, and friendship.
We offer an environment that mirrors a family home, a safe place for children to grow and flourish, with a warm homely feel. Our young people receive the very best child centered support available, with lots of fun activities going on. We particularly welcome applicants with a knowledge of the local areas, parks, schools and their amenities.
We do not use physical intervention, we listen and look to resolve concerns respectfully. Our staffing ratio is 2 staff to 4 young people.
Our hours of work are on average 40 hours per week, working 2 shifts on/2 shifts off followed by 2 shifts on/4 shifts off and to include “sleep-in” duties.
Our holiday entitlement is 28 days (224 hours) in a complete holiday year, April to March.
We are currently recruiting experienced and qualified fulltime permanent staff.
