About Us
Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) is the governing body for football across Oceania, representing national football associations throughout the Pacific region. Through football, OFC is committed to creating positive impact, supporting the growth of the game, and enhancing opportunities for players, communities, and stakeholders across Oceania.
We are seeking a committed and proactive Resilient Oceania Coordinator to help shape OFC’s approach to environmental sustainability, climate action, biodiversity protection, and disaster preparedness and response across the region.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a project that recognises the power of football to influence behaviours, bring communities together, and create positive change across Oceania.
About The Role
The Resilient Oceania Coordinator will lead an assessment of OFC’s current sustainability and environmental practices and use the findings to develop OFC’s Resilient Oceania Roadmap.
The roadmap will provide a clear direction for OFC to support the future of football and Pacific communities through environment and climate-focused initiatives. It will identify priorities, opportunities, targets, and practical actions that can help reduce football’s environmental impact and strengthen resilience across the region.
Working closely with the Social Responsibility team, OFC departments, Member Associations, partners, and other stakeholders, the role will bring people together, gather information, identify opportunities, and support the development of practical solutions for a more resilient Oceania.
Key Responsibilities Include
Conduct an assessment of OFC’s current sustainability and environmental practices to establish baselines, risks, opportunities, and priorities.
Engage with OFC departments, Member Associations, partners, and other stakeholders to gather information and develop a holistic understanding of the current state of play.
Analyse assessment findings and communicate key insights and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
Develop OFC’s Resilient Oceania Roadmap, covering environmental sustainability, climate action, biodiversity protection, and disaster preparedness and response.
Work collaboratively across OFC divisions and with external stakeholders to build engagement, contribution, and support for the roadmap.
Recommend practical targets, milestones, timelines, and measures to support the implementation of the roadmap.
Recommend monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and learning (MERL) tools and frameworks to measure progress and support continuous improvement.
Support advocacy and education initiatives that promote environmental responsibility, climate awareness, and resilience across the football ecosystem.
Facilitate learning activities for OFC staff to build understanding of environmental sustainability and the role football can play in building a resilient Oceania.
Contribute relevant resources and materials to the OFC Social Responsibility Resource Hub.
Manage timelines, deliverables, and priorities associated with the role and provide regular progress reports to the Head of Social Responsibility.
Manage project-related budgets and reporting requirements, where applicable.
Travel within the region, where required, to support stakeholder engagement and project delivery.
Why Work With Us
We offer:
An opportunity to contribute to the development of football and communities across the Pacific.
The opportunity to shape OFC’s approach to environmental sustainability and resilience.
The opportunity to work across multiple OFC departments and with Member Associations and partners across Oceania.
A role where your work can contribute to positive environmental and social outcomes across the region.
The opportunity to use football as a platform to influence behaviours and support community resilience.
A dynamic and collaborative working environment with regional and international stakeholders.
The opportunity to travel across the Pacific region, where required.
About You
We are looking for a highly organised, collaborative, and proactive individual who can work independently and bring people together around a shared vision.

You will have:
A relevant tertiary qualification in environmental science, sustainability, climate change, disaster management, sport management, development studies, social sciences, or a related field.
A minimum of three years’ experience in project management, preferably in sustainability, climate response, sport for development, social responsibility, or a related field.
A good understanding of the Pacific region, including its cultures, geopolitics, Indigenous frameworks and knowledge, and climate vulnerabilities.
Sound knowledge of or experience working in the sport industry.
Experience working with multiple partners and stakeholders, including government, inter-governmental agencies, NGOs, and sport organisations.
Experience conducting assessments, research, stakeholder consultations, or organisational reviews.
Experience developing strategies, roadmaps, frameworks, programmes, or action plans.
Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage timelines, priorities, and multiple stakeholders.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and practical way.
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a practical and solutions-focused approach.
A commitment to environmental sustainability, climate action, community resilience, and positive social impact.
Candidates from the Pacific region are preferred, particularly those with a strong understanding of the region and experience working across Pacific communities and organisations.
Desirable Experience

Experience working across multicultural or international environments.
