Resort - General Manager

This is a luxury resort (golf course, hot spring & healthcare center) with high level of privacy in South China. My client is looking for a General Manager who MUST speaks & writes Chinese & English.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic & Financial Leadership

• P&L Ownership : Full accountability for the resort's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control across all revenue centers (golf, rooms, F&B, spa/wellness).
• Revenue Optimization : Drive revenue through dynamic pricing strategies, membership sales, and creating attractive packages that bundle golf, hot spring access, and wellness treatments.

Golf Course Operations

• Agronomy & Playability : Ensure the course is maintained to a high standard by working closely with the Golf Course Superintendent on turf health, irrigation, and bunker maintenance. Monitor pace of play and tee sheet management.
• Golf Programming : Oversee the Pro Shop, driving range, and tournament operations. Work with the Head Professional to grow the member base and increase green fee and cart revenue.

Healthcare Component

• Clinical & Wellness Programming : Depending on the facility's scope, this may involve managing partnerships with medical professionals or overseeing wellness programs (e.g., detox, physiotherapy, nutrition). Ensure the healthcare offering feels integrated, not clinical or sterile.
• Compliance & Safety : Maintain strict compliance with health regulations, food safety, and safety protocols for both the hot springs (water quality) and healthcare services.

Key Qualifications

• Experience : Typically 5-7+ years in senior hospitality leadership (GM or Resort Manager), with specific experience in golf club management and/or spa/wellness resorts .
• Dual Competency : You must demonstrate the ability to manage a golf operation (understanding agronomy basics and tee sheet dynamics) and a wellness/medical spa operation (understanding treatment protocols and health standards).
• Financial Acumen : Proven track record of managing multi-department P&Ls, labor costs, and CAPEX projects.
• Leadership Style : A hands-on, visible leader who can motivate a diverse team (from greenskeepers to estheticians to nurses) and foster a culture of "intentional hospitality"
