Resort Manager

About the role

Papua Diving Resorts is looking for a passionate, experienced, and hands-on Resort Manager to lead resort operations and ensure an exceptional experience for guests and team members.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the resort
• Ensure smooth coordination between all departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Restaurant, Diving, Spa, Logistics, and Maintenance
• Maintain high standards of guest service, hospitality, cleanliness, and safety
• Lead, motivate, and develop the resort team to achieve operational and service standards
• Monitor staff performance, attendance, discipline, and overall team coordination
• Handle guest requests, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently
• Coordinate with management regarding operational planning, staffing, supplies, and resort requirements
• Monitor operational costs and ensure efficient use of company resources
• Conduct regular meetings and follow up on operational issues
• Ensure company policies, procedures, and safety standards are properly implemented

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a Resort Manager, Operations Manager, Hotel Manager, or similar leadership position
• Previous experience in hotel/resort operations, preferably in a remote or island resort environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and team-management abilities
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is an added advantage
• Able to work independently and make decisions in a challenging remote-island environment
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Guest-oriented with a high standard of hospitality
• Good understanding of resort operations, staff management, and cost control
