What they need

Overview:

At KPMG in Canada, our people bring their unique perspectives to Canada’s most important challenges. Here, you can build momentum that reaches beyond our business, develop skills for the future, and take ownership of your career with support at every stage. Join a firm where your career can make a difference.

This role is part of KPMG’s National Advisory Resource Management Team, supporting the accurate and timely administration of resource schedules and workforce data. The Resource Management Administrator works closely with Resource Managers and internal stakeholders to maintain reliable information, support scheduling activities, review resourcing data, and flag issues that may require follow-up.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who combines strong attention to detail with analytical curiosity. You will help keep core resource management processes running smoothly while looking for practical ways to improve how work is completed, including the responsible use of AI and automation to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency.

What you will do:

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely data in the Resource Management System, including resource schedules, project assignments, availability, and related updates.
  • Support Resource Managers with day-to-day scheduling and administrative activities across assigned Advisory practices.
  • Review resourcing data and reports to identify missing information, inconsistencies, scheduling conflicts, capacity concerns, or other items requiring attention.
  • Flag potential issues to the appropriate Resource Manager and support timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Process schedule changes and other data updates with a high degree of accuracy, following established processes and controls.
  • Prepare and maintain recurring reports, trackers, and documentation that support resource planning and decision-making.
  • Coordinate with Resource Managers, engagement teams, and other internal stakeholders to obtain information and keep records current.
  • Support data-quality reviews and help ensure information in resource management tools can be relied upon for reporting and planning.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline administrative processes, reduce repetitive work, and improve the quality and consistency of data.
  • Use AI-enabled tools and other technology, within firm guidelines, to explore efficiencies, improve workflows, and challenge existing ways of working.
  • Contribute to documentation, testing, and adoption of updated resource management tools, processes, and standard ways of working.
  • Provide back-up administrative support to the broader Resource Management team as priorities require.

What you bring to this role:

  • Post-secondary education in business administration, operations, human resources, data analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in administration, scheduling, workforce coordination, data entry, reporting, or a related role is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to enter, review, and maintain accurate data.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage recurring tasks, changing priorities, and deadlines.
  • Analytical ability to review information, identify patterns or inconsistencies, and recognize when an issue should be escalated.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and service-oriented approach.
  • Comfort working with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with reporting, scheduling, or workforce management systems is an asset.
  • Curiosity about AI, automation, and emerging technology, with an interest in using these tools responsibly to improve efficiency and quality.
