Respiratory Therapist

Full-time / 36 hours per week / 1:00 pm - 1:00 am Akron City Campus

• Eligible for up to a $10,000 hire on incentive

Summary Administers a variety of Respiratory Therapy modalities and interventions to patients according to physician order and/or hospital approved policies and protocols based on evidenced based research, guidelines, and algorithms.

Formal Education Required

• Graduate of an A.M.A. or CoARC approved program for Respiratory Therapists (Registry eligible).

Experience And Training Required

• Valid Ohio license (RCP) to practice Respiratory Care, granted by the State Medical Board of Ohio.
• Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or

Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) & obtain RRT within 120 days of employment (start date).

Other Skills, Competencies And Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.

Level Of Physical Demands

• Heavy: Exerts 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force continuously to move objects.
