Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Respite Host Provider to offer temporary relief and support to families caring for individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs. Responsibilities

• Provide attentive supervision and care for individuals with disabilities or behavioral health challenges in a home-like setting over night.
• Implement positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) to promote good conduct and emotional regulation.
• Engage participants in age-appropriate activities that support social skills, emotional growth, and developmental milestones.
• Collaborate with families, social workers, and other professionals to ensure individualized care plans are followed effectively.
• Manage conflict situations with patience and effective communication, ensuring safety and well-being at all times.
• Document daily activities, behavioral observations, and any incidents accurately for ongoing care planning.
• Support individuals adolescent development through mentoring, teaching life skills, and fostering independence.
• Report concerns, incidents, or changes immediately.
• Ability to pass background checks

Skills

• Experience working with individuals, children or adolescents in educational or childcare settings.
• Knowledge of special education principles and strategies to support diverse learning needs.
• Familiarity with behavioral health concepts and high-risk population support techniques.
• Strong skills in conflict management, crisis intervention, and de-escalation strategies.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with individuals with disabilities and their families.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Background in social work, youth programs teaching, or child welfare is highly desirable.
• Valid Drivers Licenses
• Provide supervision and ensure the individual, child's safety and well-being.
