Respite Worker

Duties

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration as trained and authorized
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
• Support clients with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
• Monitor health status, report any changes or concerns to family members or healthcare professionals promptly
• Assist with transfers, heavy lifting, and mobility support to ensure safety during movement

Skills

• Prior experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home environments is highly valued
• Strong patient care skills with a focus on senior care, dementia care, hospice care or individuals with disabilities
• Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
• Compassionate caregiving attitude combined with patience and attentiveness
• Ability to handle cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining hygiene standards
