Responsibilities

• Safely operate a range of passenger vehicles such as personal cars, vans, limousines, shuttle buses, and other commercial vehicles on local routes or designated schedules.
• Follow all traffic laws and state transportation regulations to ensure passenger safety at all times.
• Plan routes using GPS navigation tools for efficient travel and timely arrivals.
• Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, providing courteous customer service throughout the journey.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
• Handle heavy lifting when necessary for luggage or equipment transfers while adhering to proper manual handling procedures.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding pick-up times, route changes, or delays to maintain transparency and satisfaction.

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, chauffeur, or shuttle driver with a strong understanding of local driving routes.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning software.
• Experience operating various passenger vehicles including vans, limousines, shuttle buses, and medical transportation vehicles such as paratransit services.
• Knowledge of traffic laws, safety protocols, and state transportation regulations governing commercial driving.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse clients.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling luggage or equipment.
• Strong attention to detail for vehicle maintenance checks and adherence to safety standards.
• Good communication skills for client interaction and coordination with team members or dispatch centers.
