Responsible Officer (VA149)

Our client is a leading global blockchain and digital asset infrastructure provider headquartered in Singapore. Backed by cutting-edge technology, they offer comprehensive solutions spanning crypto exchanges, enterprise wallet & custody, and Web3 infrastructure. As part of their strategic expansion, they are now applying for SFC Type 1, 4, and 9 licenses with VA function. This opening offers a rare and exciting opportunity for candidates to step into the virtual asset space backed by a world-class, mature technical team ready to support the future VA business. To support this application and ongoing operations, they are currently looking for experienced Responsible Officer (RO).

RESPONSIBILITIES

l   Serve as a core RO to provide strategic oversight and fulfill regulatory governance requirements for SFC Type 1, 4, and 9 regulated activities (including traditional and VA).

l   Drive and support the group’s strategic expansion and development of virtual asset (VA) business operations in Hong Kong.

l   Participate in periodic board, investment, or management committee meetings to supervise core business operations and risk management frameworks.

l   Handle regulatory inquiries, liaise with the SFC and relevant authorities as required, and ensure ongoing alignment with the Securities and Futures Ordinance and relevant regulatory guidelines.

l   Handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

l  Currently approved by the SFC as an RO for Type 1, 4, and 9 (with VA capabilities), OR a current Licensed Representative who fully meets the RO competency requirements (e.g., meeting the 3 years of relevant industry experience over the past 6 years). Must be sole-RO.

l  Must have a proven licensing record in a licensed corporation that has successfully completed the VA uplift within the past 3 to 6 years.

l  Good command of written and spoken Mandarin, Chinese (Cantonese), and English. Good command of written and spoken Mandarin, Chinese and English.
