Restaurant Assistant

The Restaurant Assistant supports daily restaurant operations by assisting service staff, preparing dining areas, helping with customer requests, and maintaining cleanliness and organization. This role involves supporting both front-of-house and kitchen teams, ensuring timely service, and contributing to a welcoming dining experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily restaurant operations and service activities.
• Welcome guests and direct them to appropriate seating areas.
• Support servers with food and beverage delivery.
• Help prepare tables, arrange place settings, and maintain dining areas.
• Clear tables and prepare them for incoming guests.
• Assist with taking customer orders when required.
• Communicate customer requests and special instructions to the relevant team.
• Help maintain clean and organized service stations.
• Restock menus, utensils, napkins, and other restaurant supplies.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation when needed.
• Follow food-safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Support dishwashing and cleaning duties as assigned.
• Assist with handling takeout orders and customer pickups.
• Respond to guest questions politely and refer complaints to supervisors.
• Help with opening, closing, and shift handover procedures.
• Monitor supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Follow restaurant policies and workplace safety procedures.
• Cooperate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Friendly, polite, and professional attitude.
• Good teamwork and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks.
• Basic understanding of food safety and cleanliness standards.

Pay: $25.66 - $30.90 per hour
