Restaurant Assistant

The Restaurant Assistant supports daily restaurant and bar operations by assisting service staff, preparing dining areas, helping guests, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. This role involves supporting food and beverage service, coordinating with kitchen and bar teams, and ensuring guests receive friendly and efficient service. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a busy hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily restaurant and supper club operations.
• Welcome guests and help guide them to their tables.
• Support servers with food and beverage delivery.
• Prepare tables, arrange place settings, and maintain dining areas.
• Clear tables and prepare them for incoming guests.
• Assist with takeout orders and customer pickups when needed.
• Restock service stations with utensils, napkins, menus, and supplies.
• Help maintain clean and organized dining, bar, and service areas.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation when required.
• Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment as assigned.
• Follow food-safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Communicate guest requests and special dietary requirements to the appropriate staff.
• Help respond to customer questions and direct concerns to supervisors.
• Monitor supplies and report shortages to management.
• Assist with opening, closing, and shift handover duties.
• Support special events and busy service periods.
• Follow restaurant policies and workplace safety procedures.
• Work cooperatively with servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous restaurant, bar, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Friendly, courteous, and professional attitude.
• Good teamwork and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Pay: $23.52 - $28.33 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 per week
