Restaurant Assistant

The Restaurant Assistant supports daily restaurant operations by assisting service staff, preparing dining areas, helping guests, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. This role involves supporting food and beverage service, coordinating with kitchen and bar teams, and ensuring guests receive friendly and efficient service. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant and pub environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily restaurant operations and service activities.
• Welcome guests and help direct them to their tables.
• Support servers with food and beverage delivery.
• Prepare tables, arrange place settings, and maintain dining areas.
• Clear tables and prepare them for incoming guests.
• Help handle takeout orders and customer pickups when required.
• Restock service stations with menus, utensils, napkins, and other supplies.
• Maintain clean and organized dining, bar, and service areas.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation when needed.
• Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment as assigned.
• Follow food-safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Communicate guest requests and dietary requirements to the appropriate team members.
• Respond politely to customer questions and refer complaints to supervisors.
• Monitor supplies and report shortages to management.
• Assist with opening, closing, and shift handover duties.
• Support the team during busy service periods and special events.
• Follow restaurant policies and workplace safety procedures.
• Work collaboratively with servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous restaurant, pub, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Friendly, courteous, and professional attitude.

Pay: $25.35 - $30.53 per hour
