Bookkeeper – Restaurant Experience Required

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper with prior restaurant industry experience to manage financial records, bookkeeping, and accounting activities across multiple restaurant locations and business entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and daily restaurant sales.
• Manage accounts payable, vendor invoices, and expense records.
• Record payroll expenses and reconcile payroll reports.
• Assist with monthly profit-and-loss statements and financial reporting.
• Track food costs, labor costs, and operating expenses.
• Coordinate with external accountants on tax preparation and year-end reporting.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
• Prior restaurant bookkeeping or accounting experience is required.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
• Experience with restaurant sales reconciliation, food costs, payroll, and vendor accounting.
• Knowledge of bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and general bookkeeping.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
