Job Summary

As a Restaurant Captain, you will oversee a designated section of the dining room, managing the service flow and leading a team of junior waitstaff to deliver an exceptional guest experience. You will act as the primary liaison between our guests, the front-of-house team, and the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

* Guest Relations & Service Excellence: Welcome guests, manage seating pacing, present menus with expert knowledge, handle dietary/allergy requests, and swiftly resolve any guest complaints to ensure high satisfaction.

* Team Supervision & Training: Lead, brief, and coordinate junior servers, runners, and bussers in your section; ensure the team adheres to grooming, hygiene, and service standards.

* Order & Flow Management: Take accurate food and beverage orders, input them efficiently into the POS system, and manage the precise timing and sequence of courses.

* Sales & Upselling: Maximize section revenue by actively recommending daily specials, and premium menu items.

* Kitchen & Floor Coordination: Work closely with the culinary team to ensure seamless communication regarding order specifications, dietary restrictions, and food presentation.

* Financial Accountability: Ensure correct billing, process guest payments securely, and accurately close out cash and card receipts at the end of each shift.

* Operational Readiness: Oversee pre-shift section setups, monitor inventory (linens, silverware, glassware), and assist management in maintaining restaurant cleanliness and safety protocols.
