Restaurant Cashier

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems, including Micros POS, to process transactions efficiently and accurately
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and make correct change while maintaining proper cash handling procedures
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling orders, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring cleanliness in the food prep area
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in the dining area, kitchen, and food prep zones in accordance with food safety regulations
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly and ensure smooth workflow

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with strong customer service skills
• Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS or similar platforms
• Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards within the food industry
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and transaction processing
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
• Experience in food preparation and kitchen operations is a plus
• Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude towards serving customers and working collaboratively

Pay: $15.24-$17.73 per hour
