Restaurant Cook

Duties

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and portion sizes
• Ensure all food is handled and stored in a safe and sanitary manner
• Follow proper culinary techniques and practices in the kitchen
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant

Skills

• Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling procedures
• Culinary skills and experience in a professional kitchen setting
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred
• Dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus
