Job Overview

Cafe Americano is seeking a friendly, dependable, and energetic Restaurant Crew Member to support daily restaurant operations and provide excellent service to guests. This role will assist with food and beverage service, order preparation, dining-area upkeep, and other operational tasks to help ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service
• Assist with food and beverage orders
• Support servers, kitchen staff, hosts, and other restaurant team members
• Prepare and package food and beverage orders when needed
• Maintain clean and organized dining and service areas
• Restock food, beverages, utensils, and service supplies
• Operate the POS system and process payments when assigned
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and restaurant service standards

Daily Duties

• Greet guests and assist with general questions
• Take and accurately enter customer orders
• Deliver food and beverages to tables or designated pickup areas
• Clear and reset tables efficiently
• Package takeout and delivery orders
• Keep dining areas, counters, and workstations clean
• Assist with opening, closing, and end-of-shift cleaning
• Communicate customer concerns or operational issues to supervisors

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, café, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience preferred
• Experience as a Server, Food Runner, Busser, Cashier, Host, or Restaurant Team Member is an advantage
• Basic POS and cash-handling experience is a plus
• Food Handler or Food Safety Certification is an asset
• Entry-level candidates with a positive attitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply
