Restaurant General Manager

FOH supervisor required for Mexican street food and cocktail bar in Worthing. We are looking for fun, friendly and reliable people to join our front of house team at Saltio

We opened up Saltio on Marine Parade to bring the same kind of friendly service, creative cocktails and delicious food to the sea front that you would expect in a typical Mexican cantina. As Front of House you will be expected to bring that same level of consistently great service to our venue.

You will lead both the front-of-house and back-of-house teams, working closely with the Owner and management team to ensure Saltio operates efficiently, consistently and profitably.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an individual who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys developing people and takes genuine ownership of the performance and culture of the restaurant.

The successful candidate will be expected to lead from the front, maintain high standards, develop the team and actively contribute to the continued growth and success of Saltio.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Lead the entire restaurant operation – Take overall responsibility for the smooth, efficient and profitable running of Saltio, including front-of-house and kitchen operations.
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience – Maintain consistently high standards of service, food quality, hospitality and restaurant presentation, while personally handling guest feedback and complaints.
• Lead, motivate and develop the team – Build a positive, accountable and high-performing culture across the business, leading by example and supporting staff progression.
• Own onboarding, training and communication – Ensure all new team members are effectively onboarded and that continual training, development and business communication are managed through All Gravy.
• Drive commercial performance – Monitor sales, labour, food costs, waste and profitability, identify areas for improvement and work with the Owner to achieve agreed financial targets and KPIs.
• Manage staffing and labour – Create effective rotas, maintain appropriate staffing levels, manage labour costs and ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time.
• Maintain operational, food safety and compliance standards – Ensure all health and safety, food hygiene, Trail app, audit and operational requirements are completed accurately and consistently.
• Control stock, purchasing and waste – Oversee ordering, stock levels, stock rotation, supplier relationships, stock counts and waste management to maintain quality and control costs.
• Manage administration and reporting – Ensure accurate cash handling, banking, payroll information, holidays, employee records, right-to-work documentation and operational reporting are maintained.
• Drive continuous improvement and growth – Work closely with the Owner to identify opportunities to improve the restaurant, develop the team, increase sales, strengthen the customer experience and support the continued growth of Saltio.

Wage: £32,000 p/a +TRONC (Gratuity) + Bonus incentives

Experience in hospitality sector required.

Pay: £32,000.00 per year
