Restaurant General Manager

The General Manager oversees the operation of Larry’s Poboys, an authentic New Orleans sandwich shop, ensuring that quality and service standards, financial performance, and team member development are achieved. The General Manager sets and achieves the standards expected to help the staff create and maintain an incredible dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily high-volume, fast-casual operations to ensure speed, accuracy, and superior product quality
• Provides leadership, motivation, and hands-on training to a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
• Manages labor and food costs through effective inventory control and efficient scheduling
• Resolves guest issues professionally while maintaining the shop's friendly, community-focused atmosphere
• Ensures strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards across all prep and service areas
• Maintains regular communication with ownership to achieve financial performance and development goals

Qualifications

• Proven experience in high-volume, fast-casual restaurant management, preferably in a sandwich or deli concept
• Strong operational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-energy setting
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to lead staff and engage with the local community
• ServSafe Manager and Responsible Vendor certifications required
• Proficiency in POS systems (e.g., Toast) and Google Workspace
• Ability to work 50+ hours per week, including weekends and holidays, as needed
