Restaurant General Manager

Cafe Weekend is seeking an experienced and dependable Restaurant General Manager to oversee daily café and restaurant operations and lead the team in providing excellent guest service. This role involves managing staff, maintaining food and service standards, monitoring inventory and expenses, supporting customer service, and ensuring efficient operations throughout each shift. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and confident leading a team in a busy café environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily café and restaurant operations and customer-service activities.
• Coordinate staffing, shift schedules, assignments, and daily workflow.
• Lead, support, and communicate with front-of-house and kitchen team members.
• Maintain consistent standards for food quality, beverage service, cleanliness, and guest experience.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance development.
• Handle customer questions, requests, and service concerns professionally.
• Monitor inventory, food and beverage supplies, packaging, and ordering needs.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, organizing, and controlling restaurant supplies.
• Monitor POS operations, cash-handling procedures, and daily operational records.
• Help maintain efficient customer and order flow during busy service periods.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked dining, kitchen, and service areas.
• Support opening and closing procedures and daily operational checklists.
• Communicate staffing, supply, and operational needs to ownership or senior management.
• Help identify opportunities to improve service quality, workflow, and daily operations.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, workplace, and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, café, hospitality, or food-service management experience.
• Previous General Manager, Restaurant Manager, or senior supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and customer-service skills.
• Dependable, professional, and comfortable taking responsibility for daily operations.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good understanding of food quality, cleanliness, service standards, and operational procedures.
• Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management, scheduling, and restaurant operations.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Able to train, support, and motivate a restaurant team.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
