About the role

Spicy Sombrero Co., Ltd. is seeking a professional and welcoming Restaurant Host to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in the Bangkok Metropolitan Region, this is a key front-of-house position that sets the tone for every guest's experience at our restaurant. As a Restaurant Host, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, responsible for creating a warm, inviting atmosphere and ensuring seamless guest flow throughout the dining experience. This role is essential to our operations, directly contributing to guest satisfaction and the overall success of our establishment.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting guests upon arrival with genuine warmth and professionalism, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued
• Managing the reservation system and maintaining accurate booking records to optimise table allocation and guest flow
• Seating guests promptly and efficiently whilst considering special requests and dietary requirements when applicable
• Monitoring restaurant capacity and timing to balance guest comfort with operational efficiency
• Communicating effectively with the kitchen and service staff to coordinate seating arrangements and manage wait times
• Handling guest inquiries, concerns and complaints with professionalism and empathy, escalating issues when necessary
• Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming host station at all times
• Processing payments and managing the point-of-sale system accurately and securely
• Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting colleagues across all departments
• Assisting with basic administrative tasks related to reservations and guest management

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Restaurant Host, Receptionist or similar front-of-house role in the hospitality industry
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage guests from diverse backgrounds
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail when managing multiple reservations and guest requests
• Proficiency with reservation management systems and point-of-sale technology (training provided if necessary)
• Ability to remain calm, professional and courteous in high-pressure situations
• Flexibility and willingness to work shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
• A positive, proactive attitude with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service
• Fluency in English and Thai is highly desirable; additional language skills are advantageous
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move efficiently throughout the restaurant
