Duties

• Manage restaurant reservation systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, to accurately book and confirm guest reservations.
• Greet guests promptly with a friendly demeanor, providing excellent guest relations from arrival to departure.
• Coordinate seating arrangements using restaurant table management systems, ensuring optimal table utilization and guest comfort.
• Answer incoming phone calls professionally, providing information about wait times, reservations, and menu inquiries while maintaining proper phone etiquette.
• Assist guests with seating preferences, special requests, and any concerns to enhance their overall experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring a welcoming environment at all times.
• Support the front-of-house team by communicating effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service flow.

Qualifications

• Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist management, and guest billing when necessary.
• Experience with phone communication and maintaining professional phone etiquette.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
• Ability to handle guest relations with professionalism, patience, and enthusiasm in all interactions.
