Job Description

Saltie Girl is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Restaurant Host to welcome guests and help create an excellent dining experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a professional attitude, and the ability to manage reservations and seating arrangements in a busy restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and provide professional customer service.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and guest seating arrangements.
• Coordinate table assignments based on availability and party size.
• Communicate estimated wait times clearly and accurately.
• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to basic guest inquiries.
• Coordinate with servers and restaurant management to support smooth service.
• Maintain an organized reception area and accurate reservation records.
• Assist guests with special requests whenever possible.
• Monitor guest flow and help minimize seating delays.
• Follow restaurant service standards and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, professional, and welcoming attitude.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm during busy service periods.
• Familiarity with reservation systems or POS software is an advantage.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
