Restaurant Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a seamless dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional guest services in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests as they arrive and provide them with a warm welcome.
• Manage the seating chart and ensure efficient table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction.
• Answer phone calls promptly, taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant.
• Assist guests with inquiries, ensuring their needs are met throughout their visit.
• Collaborate with the wait staff and kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy, ensuring resolution to enhance guest relations.

Skills

• Strong guest relations skills to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems for managing reservations and orders is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food service operations to assist guests with menu inquiries or dietary restrictions.
• Professional phone etiquette to handle reservations and inquiries efficiently.
