Restaurant Hostess

Job Summary:

The Hostess is responsible for providing a warm welcome to guests, managing restaurant reservations, coordinating seating arrangements, and ensuring excellent customer service to enhance the dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Manage restaurant reservations and maintain accurate booking records.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
• Coordinate table allocation to optimize seating capacity and guest comfort.
• Answer telephone calls and handle guest inquiries regarding restaurant services and operating hours.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception and waiting area.
• Communicate effectively with restaurant staff to ensure smooth guest service.
• Handle guest requests, complaints, and special arrangements promptly and courteously.
• Monitor waiting lists and inform guests of estimated waiting times.
• Promote hotel dining outlets, special offers, and events.
• Ensure compliance with hotel standards, policies, and hygiene regulations.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Hostess, Receptionist, or in Customer Service within hospitality is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Knowledge of restaurant reservation systems is preferred.
