Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm and a positive attitude, making them feel instantly welcomed.
• Manage reservation bookings and waitlists efficiently using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, ensuring smooth flow of seating arrangements.
• Maintain clear communication with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate timely seating and service.
• Provide accurate wait times and assist guests with seating arrangements, including accommodating special requests when possible.
• Answer incoming phone calls professionally, providing information about the restaurant’s offerings and reservation policies.
• Uphold guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Keep the host/hostess station organized, clean, and well-stocked to support seamless operations during busy hours.

Requirements

• Previous host/hostess experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a customer-focused attitude are essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; willingness to learn new technology is important.
• Experience in hospitality or guest services enhances your ability to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Excellent phone etiquette and professional demeanor when interacting via phone or in person.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a lively, energetic presence during peak hours.
