Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Restaurant Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. Duties

• Welcome guests with a warm, friendly attitude, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they arrive
• Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in seating requests using restaurant table management software such as Micros POS or similar systems
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization while minimizing wait times
• Answer incoming phone calls professionally, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries with proper phone etiquette
• Assist guests with seating preferences and special requests, ensuring guest relations are prioritized at all times
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, including menus and reservation logs
• Support food service staff by communicating guest needs promptly and accurately, fostering seamless guest experiences

Experience

• Prior experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred
• Knowledge of restaurant reservation management systems and POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is highly desirable
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally and courteously
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone communication and etiquette
• Demonstrated organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently
• Basic math skills for handling seating calculations and reservation adjustments accurately
• Familiarity with food safety standards and proper guest relations practices is a plus

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 15.0 per week
