Restaurant Host/Hostess

Sonobana Japanese Restaurant is an authentic Japanese Restaurant known for sushi and traditional Japanese cuisine. We are currently searching for a host to join our team. Previous experience in customer service or food industry is a plus, but no experience is required.

Candidates’ duties include but are not limited to:

• Greeting and assisting guests
• Seating guests and maintaining a timely wait list
• Answering phones and taking to go orders
• Bagging orders while keeping an organized and efficient flow
• Handle cash and credit card payment accurately and efficiently
• Assisting servers (ie refilling drinks/pre bussing tables)
• Develop healthy relationship with all the guests
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area

Starting rate for hosting is $13/hr +tips (includes tips directly from to go orders and tip share from servers)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
