Restaurant Host/Hostess

Job Summary

Aker Restaurant and Lounge is looking for a warm, professional, and personable Host/Hostess to join our front-of-house team. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, our hosts play an important role in setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.

The ideal candidate is welcoming, organized, confident, and able to remain composed in a fast-paced environment while managing reservations and maintaining an efficient flow throughout the restaurant.

What we are looking for:

3/4 shifts per week

Open availability is preferred (we are open for dinner service 7 days a week)

Strong attention to detail

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to stay organized and composed in a fast-paced environment

Dependable, punctual, and professional

Restaurant or hospitality experience is required

$13 (DOE) and hour plus tips and growth opportunities

Duties

Warmly greet and welcome all guests

Check IDs

Manage reservations and guest information through OpenTable

Seat guests in a timely and organized manner

Communicate clearly with management and bussers

Answer incoming phone calls and assist with reservation inquiries

Maintain host stand, entryways, and surrounding areas in a clean and professional manner

Help resolve guest concerns with professionalism

Qualifications

Must be 21 years old or older
