Restaurant Host/Hostess

Konya NYC is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Restaurant Host/Hostess to welcome guests and support the front-of-house team. This role involves greeting customers, managing the flow of guests, assisting with seating, answering general questions, and helping maintain an organized and welcoming dining environment. The ideal candidate is professional, attentive, dependable, and comfortable working in a busy restaurant setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and provide professional customer service.
• Manage guest arrivals and assist with seating according to restaurant procedures.
• Maintain accurate information about table availability and guest flow.
• Answer general questions about the restaurant, menu, and dining experience.
• Communicate guest needs and special requests clearly with servers and management.
• Assist with reservations, waitlists, and guest inquiries when required.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and presentable host area.
• Monitor the dining room and communicate seating or service needs to the front-of-house team.
• Provide menus and assist guests with basic dining-area requests.
• Support servers and other team members during busy service periods.
• Follow restaurant service, safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing, and other front-of-house duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous host, hostess, restaurant, hospitality, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful.
• Friendly and professional communication style.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment.
• Able to remain courteous and organized while handling multiple guests.
• Good attention to detail and guest-service needs.
• Able to work cooperatively with servers, managers, and other restaurant staff.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
