Job Summary

We are seeking a warm, welcoming, and organized Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel at maintaining guest relations, creating a positive first impression, and ensuring a smooth flow of the dining experience. This role requires someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities with professionalism, and possess a friendly personality that makes guests feel valued. Weekend availability and holiday shifts are required to support our busy service times.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage guest seating arrangements efficiently using an iPad or similar device, ensuring timely table assignments.
• Maintain organization of the host stand and waiting list to facilitate smooth operations during busy periods.
• Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times and available seating options.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host area.
• Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure guest needs are met promptly and courteously.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve concerns with professionalism and a friendly demeanor.
• Support the team during peak hours, including weekends and holidays, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Experience

• Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is preferred but not required; a friendly personality and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
• Comfort using an iPad or similar digital device for managing reservations and seating arrangements.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on creating positive guest experiences.
• Availability to work on weekends and during holidays is necessary to meet the demands of the role.

Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
