Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly first impression.
• Manage restaurant reservation systems to schedule and confirm bookings accurately.
• Seat guests efficiently, coordinating with servers to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
• Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and menu inquiries.
• Maintain organized waitlists and seating charts using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Assist in handling guest inquiries, special requests, and feedback to ensure a memorable dining experience.
• Support food safety standards by adhering to hygiene protocols and communicating effectively with team members.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction.
• Organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently.
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating counts, and guest billing when necessary.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices is a plus.
