Restaurant Host/Hostess

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host to join our team in providing exceptional guest experiences. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in setting the tone for their visit. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service within the restaurant. A strong background in customer service and hospitality is essential for success in this role.

Duties

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to coordinate service.
• Assist guests with inquiries about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
• Utilize POS systems, to manage guest check-ins and reservations.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally.
• Help create a positive dining experience by being attentive to guests throughout their visit.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and guest inquiries.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and guest services is essential.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
