Duties

• Greet guests warmly with genuine hospitality and assist with seating arrangements to optimize table utilization
• Manage restaurant reservation systems, including Aloha POS or Micros POS, to schedule and confirm bookings efficiently
• Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, providing information about wait times and reservation details
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely seating and guest flow throughout busy hours
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand, including managing waitlists and guest seating charts
• Handle guest inquiries courteously, addressing special requests or concerns promptly to enhance guest relations
• Support food safety standards by adhering to proper hygiene practices when handling menus or guest belongings

Requirements

• Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is preferred; food service experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Proficiency in restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Basic math skills for managing reservations, waitlists, and guest counts accurately
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables and reservations simultaneously
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, including POS systems and guest services best practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Commitment to food safety standards and hospitality excellence
