Duties

• Greet guests promptly and warmly as they arrive, providing a positive first impression
• Manage restaurant reservations using reservation management systems such as Open Table, Toast POS.
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization and minimize wait times
• Answer phone calls professionally, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries
• Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate effectively with guests regarding their status
• Assist in guest relations by addressing questions or concerns courteously and efficiently
• Support the dining team by ensuring smooth guest flow and timely seating, enhancing overall guest experience

Requirements

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Open Table, Toast POS.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, waiting lists, and guest flow
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, wait times, and seating calculations
• Knowledge of phone etiquette and effective phone communication techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Understanding of food safety standards and hospitality best practices is desirable
