POSITION JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: HOST

Reports To: Restaurant General Manager

Primary Responsibilities

Greets, engages, and seats all guests in a warm and friendly manner, making a famous first impression. Assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant. Assists are departing, inquire about their experience, thank them for dining with us, and invite them back. Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

Secondary Responsibilities

To perform duties including, but not limited to, answering the phone, bussing tables, washing dishes, expediting orders, or running food. In short, whatever it takes to support our team.

Specific Functions and Duties

Greets, engages, and seats the guest in a timely and controlled manner. Accommodate any special needs (i.e., boosters, highchairs, disabilities, large parties, etc.). Opens doors for arriving and departing guests. Consistently explains features and limited-time offerings.

Manages the wait list as needed, quoting accurate wait times.

Helps servers.

Wipe tables, chairs, booths, and benches, and pickup debris off the floor.

Maintains clean and organized work and entry areas, including windows and floors.

Completes assigned cleaning duties including emptying trash cans and verifying and maintaining clean restrooms every 30 minutes.

Restocks service items as needed (i.e., glasses, ice, etc.) and cleans areas as needed.

Understands and accurately uses the POS system to process/input orders.

Qualification Standards

High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

Previous host or restaurant experience preferred.

Reading, writing, basic math, and superior communication skills required.

Pride in personal appearance.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.

Integrity, honesty, intelligence.

Problem-solving abilities and organized.

Commitment to quality service, food, and beverage knowledge.

Strong drive and energy.

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
