We are looking for a friendly, professional, and energetic Host / Hostess to join our Thai restaurant team in New York City. The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for our guests and plays an important role in creating a warm and welcoming dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Manage the restaurant’s reservation and waitlist system.
• Seat guests efficiently while balancing table sections and server capacity.
• Answer phones, take reservations, and respond to guest inquiries.
• Provide accurate information about the menu, restaurant policies, and estimated wait times.
• Communicate closely with servers, managers, and kitchen staff.
• Monitor the dining room and help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming entrance.
• Assist guests with special requests, seating preferences, and accommodations.
• Manage guest flow during busy periods while maintaining a calm and positive attitude.
• Thank guests as they leave and help create a memorable overall experience.

Qualifications

• Previous host, hostess, restaurant, or customer-service experience preferred.
• Friendly, outgoing, and professional personality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable using reservation/POS systems or willing to learn.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Additional language skills are a plus.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
