Job Overview

City Grill is a privately owned restaurant that offers fine dining in an elegant modern atmosphere. The host/hostess is responsible for upholding the restaurant's reputation of high standard from the beginning to the end of their visit, ensuring a remarkable experience.

Shift

Tuesday - Thursday 4:30pm - 8:30pm
Friday - Saturday 4:30pm - 9:00pm ( 8:30 Saturdays during Alabama football season)

Responsibilities

• Greets and seats guests while providing menus and any additional information regarding the evening's dining experience.
• Answers incoming phone calls, assisting guests with reservations, questions, and to go orders.
• Operates ToastTables reservation management system with confidence and accuracy.
• Strategically manages and optimizes table assignments and seating arrangements in realtime to ensure even reservation flow and exceptional guest experience.

Skills

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy to effectively manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow.
• Ability to quickly learn and confidently operate restaurant technology systems, including reservation and point of service platforms

Proven experience as a host/hostess or in a similar customer service role within a restaurant , hospitality, or guest focused environment.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
