We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Restaurant Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize the flow of the restaurant
• Manage restaurant reservation systems efficiently, including booking, modifying, and confirming reservations using systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries while maintaining excellent phone etiquette
• Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests, ensuring smooth guest flow during busy periods
• Support the dining team by coordinating table assignments and ensuring tables are prepared for incoming guests according to food safety standards
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly, demonstrating strong customer service and guest relations skills
• Use POS systems accurately for reservation management and guest check-ins when necessary

Experience

• Prior experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with restaurant table management systems and guest services
• Experience in food service or hospitality environments that highlights strong communication skills and customer-focused service
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, managing waitlists, and processing payments if needed
• Knowledge of restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, seating plans, and guest flow efficiently
• Strong phone communication skills with the ability to handle multiple inquiries professionally while maintaining positive interactions
• Understanding of food safety standards and hospitality best practices to ensure a safe and welcoming environment
