Restaurant Host/Hostess

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in seating requests with precision and efficiency
• Coordinate table assignments using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries
• Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
• Support food service staff by ensuring smooth guest flow and timely seating arrangements
• Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness in the host/hostess station and waiting areas

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and guest billing support
• Demonstrated customer service orientation with a passion for guest relations and hospitality
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods while maintaining a positive attitude

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
