Duties

• Welcome guests with a friendly attitude, providing excellent guest services and ensuring they feel valued from arrival to departure
• Manage restaurant reservation systems and coordinate seating arrangements efficiently using restaurant table management systems
• Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, handling reservation inquiries and guest questions clearly and courteously
• Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times accurately to guests while managing guest flow during busy periods
• Assist in maintaining food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and proper handling of guest areas
• Support the host team in managing POS systems for reservations and guest check-ins, utilizing basic math skills for accurate data entry and billing processes
• Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure seamless communication and exceptional guest relations throughout each service shift

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred; strong restaurant experience is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of POS systems
• Basic math proficiency for handling reservations, billing, and table management tasks
• Understanding of food safety protocols and hospitality standards to promote guest well-being and satisfaction

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 22.0 per week
