We are on the lookout for a friendly and organized Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our vibrant dining team. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive. Your role is essential in managing reservations, seating guests efficiently, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering excellent guest experiences in a lively hospitality environment.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly as they arrive, making them feel comfortable and valued.
• Manage restaurant reservation systems to schedule and confirm bookings accurately.
• Seat guests promptly, balancing wait times with table availability using restaurant table management systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Maintain clear communication with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
• Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about wait times or reservations while practicing good phone etiquette.
• Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns courteously and efficiently.
• Keep the host/hostess station organized, ensuring all reservation details are up-to-date and accessible.

Skills

• Prior experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Knowledge of restaurant reservation management and table management systems such as Open Table or Toast Tables is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone communication and etiquette.
• Basic math skills for managing reservations and seating arrangements accurately.
• Organizational skills to handle multiple tables and guest requests smoothly.
• Understanding of food safety standards and hospitality best practices to support guest satisfaction.
