Restaurant Host/Hostess

Duties

• Manage restaurant reservation systems and coordinate seating to optimize flow and guest satisfaction
• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional guest services
• Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assisting with reservations, inquiries, and waitlist management
• Maintain organized restaurant table management systems to ensure smooth seating transitions
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and service staff to coordinate guest seating and special requests
• Handle guest inquiries promptly, addressing concerns or special needs with professionalism and courtesy
• Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and organization in the host/hostess area

Experience

• Prior experience as a host or hostess in a busy restaurant environment is preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a passion for hospitality and guest relations
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software such as OpenTable, Resy, or similar systems
• Experience with Toast POS
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail
• Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and billing procedures

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
