Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression and ensuring they feel valued.
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Coordinate seating arrangements, monitor wait times, and communicate with guests regarding their status.
• Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, practicing excellent phone etiquette to assist with reservations and inquiries.
• Maintain organized waiting lists and seating charts to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth guest flow and timely service.
• Uphold food safety standards by adhering to proper guest handling procedures and cleanliness protocols.
• Handle guest concerns promptly, demonstrating strong communication skills and a commitment to guest relations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred, showcasing familiarity with restaurant operations.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
• Proficiency in restaurant reservation management software such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is desirable.
• Basic math skills for managing tables, wait times, and billing processes.
• Knowledge of POS systems including POS (Point of Sale) systems like Micros or Aloha POS is advantageous.
• Demonstrated hospitality experience with a focus on guest services and guest relations.
