Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude and manage their seating preferences efficiently
• Manage restaurant reservation systems to ensure smooth flow of reservations and walk-in guests
• Answer phone calls promptly, providing accurate information and handling reservation requests with professionalism and courtesy
• Maintain organized waitlists and seating charts using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Assist guests with inquiries about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to enhance their experience
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize table turnover and service flow
• Uphold food safety standards by ensuring proper guest interactions and adherence to hygiene protocols during guest interactions

Skills

• Proven experience as a host/hostess or in food service hospitality roles, demonstrating excellent guest relations skills
• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction with guests and team members
• Knowledge of restaurant reservation management and table management systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, guest counts, and billing procedures when necessary
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests simultaneously
• Familiarity with POS systems to assist in guest check-ins or order processing when needed
• Understanding of food safety practices to ensure a clean, safe environment for all guests

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
