Restaurant Host/Hostess

Big Tommy’s Parthenon is looking for a friendly, welcoming, and dependable Host/Hostess to join our team! We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, has a positive attitude, and can help create a great first impression for every guest who walks through our doors.

The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and able to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment while providing excellent customer service.

Job Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and welcome them to the restaurant.
• Manage the seating chart and seat guests efficiently.
• Maintain accurate waitlists and communicate estimated wait times.
• Answer phone calls and assist with reservations and general inquiries.
• Coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth table turnover.
• Keep the entrance, waiting area, and host station clean and organized.
• Communicate with guests about seating arrangements and special requests.
• Assist with takeout orders and other front-of-house duties as needed.
• Handle guest questions and concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
• Work as part of a team to ensure a positive dining experience for every guest.

Qualifications

• Previous hosting or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills.
• Professional, positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
• Must be a team player who takes pride in providing excellent customer service.

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
